I've been listenign to Mos Def/Yasiin Bey for a good 20+ years. He's one of the best to grace the art of rap, in my mind. Right up there with MF DOOM, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, GURU, The Roots, Common etc. One half of Black Star and a member of the Soulquarians, he released some great albums, albeit sporadically. A conscious, inventive, lyrically amazing and versatile MC - as you'll see from this mix. He's an accomplished actor, too - and he delivered one of the BEST Hip-Hop tracks of all time - Mathematics.
